WINE

Wine brought from Europe by the Spanish soldiers who invaded Mexico Tenochtitlán, became insufficient and became a truly precious commodity,  under the pretext of catechization, the missionaries became the main promoters of grape growing in the region.  Mexican wine production was resumed until 1920 and reached its peak in the 1980s.

Queretaro is the main producer and exporter of sparkling wine in Mexico. The Queretaro wine region is considered the southernmost wine region of the northern hemisphere in the world and is characterized by its extreme viticulture. Querétaro has unique characteristics that could be considered extreme for the cultivation of vines.

Wine houses in Querétaro are set up and open their doors to visitors. In them you can walk through the vineyards, learn about the processes that take place from planting to harvesting the grapes, enter the factory and observe the process of distillation and aging of grape juice.
