Queretaro's old train station

 OLD TRAIN STATION

In the 19th century, the train was an invention that came to revolutionize and bring prosperity by communicating urban centers with commercial development and facilitating the mobility of travelers and workers to the country's capital.

More than one hundred years old, this historic site, considered one of the most notable examples of Mexican railroad infrastructure, takes us back to the 20th century, when the railroad was the most modern form of transportation.

The majestic construction has an English style, designed and built by the architect McDonald, who decided to use materials from the region for its construction, such as pink quarry and gray quarry, with wooden beams and an excellent facade. Walking along its floors and hearing them creak with every step is a unique experience, walking along the sidewalks and sitting on its old and long benches to wait, is the perfect excuse to admire the surroundings and contemplate a building that has a life of its own.

In 1986, by presidential decree, this building was declared a historic monument.
