El Pueblito, located 5 miles from the center of the city of Queretaro, has historically developed with certain traditions and particularities that have imbued it with a strong and distinct local identity.


The origin of El Pueblito dates back to pre-Hispanic times, since the first colonial documents state that after the Spaniards conquered the town of Querétaro, several Indian villages were subject to it, among them San Francisco Anbanica, which takes the name of Galileo from the congregation of natives that occurred on the site during the early years of the seventeenth century.
